Colonic Hydrotherapy

What is Colonic Hydrotherapy?

Colonic Hydrotherapy (AKA Colonic Irrigation) is a gentle holistic treatment that uses filtered water to flush and cleanse the colon of trapped debris and harmful residue. It is a safe, effective and pain free procedure that can be incredibly beneficial to both men and women for all sorts of health concerns.

Toxins can build up within the body due to stress, poor diet and lack of exercise. These toxins can be the cause of fatigue, acne, erratic moods, constipation, digestive issues, headaches and other negative symptoms that hinder your overall health.

What are the benefits of Colonic Hydrotherapy?

These treatments are designed to cleanse and purify the colon whilst offering relaxation and other holistic benefits. After your treatment you should feel calm, refreshed, revived and uplifted. Symptoms such as fatigue, stress, acne and digestive issues should all be improved after just 1 treatment, but we do recommend a course of treatments to achieve optimum benefits.

What happens during a treatment?

Initially you can chat with a friendly Treatment Coordinator who will discuss the treatment process with you, answer any questions you may have and take your full medical history. Should you wish to proceed with the treatment you will meet with one of Inner Angel’s highly qualified Colonic Hydrotherapists who can discuss the planned procedure with you in more detail.

During treatment your comfort and modesty will be respected at all times by our professional and experienced staff. Treatment is non-invasive, pain free and should be a relaxing experience. Read more about our treatment types here.

Your appointment takes around 1 – 1.5 hours and you should be able to return to your daily activities straight afterwards. Your Colonic Hydrotherapy treatment may be combined with infrared sauna to provide added benefits and enhanced results.

How long is recovery time?

One of the many benefits of Colonic Hydrotherapy is that it doesn’t require any post-treatment downtime. You can resume normal daily activities straight after your treatment. Occasionally clients may experience some dizziness, diarrhoea or nausea following treatment, but our expert Practitioners and Treatment Coordinators will monitor your progress throughout.

We advise all clients to drink plenty of water for at least 24 hours after their treatment and to have a light meal. Full aftercare from our award-winning Nutritionists is provided for you to continue to make and maintain healthy changes at home.

What type of medical equipment do you use?

Inner Angel is a leading digestive health clinic and internationally accredited training school (I-ACT) for health professionals. We have three ultra-modern colonic suites, and use state of the art equipment, including choice of both the closed and open colonic systems.

Our open system Angel of Water is the highest performing medical system of colon hydrotherapy on the world market at the present time and is patented by FDA (Federal Drugs Administration-SUA); it is approved as class 1 in regard with the medical equipment used in colon cleansing.  As a therapy it is non-invasive and secure, therapy rooms are sterilised to the highest standards and only single-use disposable speculums are used for each session.
